Khichdi - India

Sometimes we walk through unremarkable doors expecting a featureless room. Becoming unprepared, unbeknownst, every un possible, when inside such a small space, you find the elegance of Shohitun Bibi. Shohitun was wearing a green and mustard yellow sari within a tiny place of equal mustards, preparing to cook khichdi for the Dhubri Girls’ Academy High School students in Dhubri. I love such mystery of wandering through nondescript doorways into the unknown.
