Epiphany Day - United States

A large cross cut into the ice of the Kennebec River, part of preparations for Russian Orthodox Epiphany day in Richmond, Maine. A small community of Russian Orthodox Christians still live in this small New England, decedents of Russian immigrants who arrived in the 1950's to this area and built the St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Church that continues the ancient traditions from their homeland.
